On August 30, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Rustam Emomali visited the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan to participate in the Day of Knowledge and Lesson of Peace.
First, at the University, the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the Center for Skills Development, Vocational Training and Services in the Tourism Sector and the University’s student dormitories and cafeterias.
The 8-story educational building of the Skills Development Center has 92 classrooms and 24 office rooms, which can accommodate up to 3,200 students at a time.
The establishment of the educational center plays a key role in ensuring the management of various areas of the university, the integration of various areas of activity, and the modernization of the educational process.
At the first stage, 4,500 people will be enrolled in the Center for Skills Development, Vocational Training and Services in the Tourism Sector.
Here, students are trained in a total of 14 specialties. Each classroom is equipped with appropriate equipment and visual aids, taking into account the requirements of the student’s chosen profession.
The center was built within the framework of the implementation of the State Program for Vocational Training of Citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025 in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank to make citizens self-employed.
The 5-story dormitory building, which was opened today, is designed with 92 rooms for 368 students. Each room is equipped in accordance with the necessary requirements, and the necessary conditions for the stay of students are created in it.
The 3-story educational building, which is part of the development center, has a spacious sports hall and a swimming pool, using these conditions, 5 types of sports competitions are held.
The new university cafeteria serves 336 students at a time.
The Head of State met with 80 orphan students in the dining hall.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, guided the youth to study modern sciences, foreign languages, and information technologies.
It should be noted that supporting orphans is under the constant attention of the Government of the country, and creating conditions doubles the motivation of students to study modern sciences.
In today’s modern world, creating the necessary opportunities for science and education of young people is considered the most important means of preparing highly qualified, self-aware personnel.
On this day, after familiarizing himself with the projects of a number of facilities, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 12-story educational building within the university and a 7-story educational building of the Khujand International Institute under the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.
The additional building of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan will consist of 72 spacious classrooms and is designed for 1,500 students.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, instructed officials to build the facility taking into account modern educational requirements, national architecture and quality.
At the same time, the educational and production sewing workshop of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan was put into operation on this day.
Here, conditions have been created for 200 people in accordance with the requirements, so that students will be involved in paid work along with their studies.
After the opening of the new building and facilities at the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, met and spoke with the country’s education workers at a gathering on the occasion of Knowledge Day.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, considered today’s meeting a good opportunity to analyze and discuss the situation in the vitally important sector – education.
It was emphasized that thanks to independence and freedom, complete peace, stability and national unity, all necessary conditions and opportunities have been created in our dear Tajikistan for the science and education of the younger generation and youth.
According to the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, all the progress and achievements of the country, including in the field of education, the decent and peaceful life of the people, first of all, depend on the maintenance of peace, tranquility, and political stability.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, considered peace to be the essence of the people, the happiness and well-being of every family and the basis for the progress of the state and nation, including the development of the education sector.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, called the proposal of the next initiative of Tajikistan on the “Decade of Strengthening Peace for the Sake of Future Generations” a logical continuation of our country’s peace-loving efforts in the international arena.
Regarding the process of education reform, it was emphasized that over the 34 years of independence, 67.4 billion somoni have been invested in this sector from the state budget and 6.2 billion somoni from state investment projects, that is, a total of 73.6 billion somoni. Today, 11 projects worth 4.3 billion somoni are being implemented in the education sector.
It was emphasized that during the period of independence, the salaries of employees in the sector have been gradually increased by more than 20 times.
The Head of state recalled the cooperation of honorable entrepreneurs and generous individuals with the Government of the country in this area. It was recalled that during the period of independence, patriotic entrepreneurs and generous individuals have built and put into operation 1,435 educational institutions with 231,000 seats for 1.7 billion somoni.
Continuing his speech, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, instructed education officials to take urgent measures to prepare teachers in the fields of natural sciences, exact sciences, and mathematics, which are considered one of the most important issues in the country’s education system.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, reflected on the status and position of teachers, calling the development and adoption of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Status of Teachers” a high sign of respect and appreciation for teachers by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In conclusion, the Head of State stated that it is our filial and civic duty to work continuously for the progress and prosperity of our heavenly homeland, especially in preparation for our great national holiday – the 35th anniversary of state independence, and to further enhance the reputation of our beloved Tajikistan in the international arena.
Addressing the honorable people of the country, including the patriotic youth and teenagers of Tajikistan, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon emphasized that we must always be united with the gratitude of patriotism and statehood, and with a high sense of national pride, direct all our strength and energy for the prosperity of our homeland and the progress of our sovereign state.
