On September 19, in the village of Lolarukh, Dangara district, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan,Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, got acquainted with the cultivation of vegetables and melons in the “Saodatsho” private farm.
The total area of the farm is 40 hectares, and the production of grains, vegetables, pulses and fodder is the main activity of its workers. Of the total farm area, 25 hectares are irrigated.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon guided the workers to wide use of natural opportunities for the production of material goods, increasing the efficiency of the land and obtaining several crops from one plot.
As it was mentioned, this is the second year that the farmers are engaged in cultivation after the irrigation of the lands of this area. Irrigation of onions is carried out by drip. The availability of favorable conditions has increased productivity.
Here, the achievements of the farmers of the district were also presented to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As it turned out, the beneficial use of this year’s weather, the expansion of production opportunities due to new lands and the collection of several crops from the same plot have led to an increase in production indicators in 2024.
This year, farmers of Dangara district planted 26,886 hectares of grain, 1,027 hectares of potatoes, 1,617 hectares of vegetables, 1,539 hectares of rice, 5,018 hectares of cotton and other types of crops. Continuous work, observance of agro-techniques of planting and growing and prioritizing the use of modern technology in production ensured the increase of production indicators.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon highly appreciated the results of the district’s farmers and tasked the relevant officials and workers to fully use natural opportunities, increase production indicators and food reserves for the next two years.
The implementation of the instructions of the Head of the State made it possible to ensure the increase of production indicators in Dangara district through the expansion of the cultivated area due to the fallow land, taking several crops from one plot and increasing the productivity.
That is why today the farmers of Dangara district make a significant contribution to providing the consumer market with fresh agricultural products, exporting products to other countries and ensuring food security. Thousands of tons of fresh agricultural products have already been exported from Dangara district to other countries.
In 2023, the total amount of agricultural products of Khatlon Province amounted to 35.3 billion somoni, of which 2 billion 550 million somoni or 7.2 percent corresponds to Dangara district.
In 8 months of 2024, the total amount of agricultural products of Dangara district equaled 1.7 billion somoni, which is the highest indicator in the region.
