New routes for fishing tourism will be created in Tajikistan in collaboration with fish-breeding enterprises and farms. This was stated at a forum organized by the Committee for Tourism Development.
The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Committee for Environmental Protection, Institute of Tourism, Entrepreneurship and Service, and more than 20 fish farms and 30 domestic travel agencies.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development Habibullo Amirbekzoda noted that fish farms exist in various parts of the country, which create favorable conditions for the development of fishing tourism.
“Marinka, trout, carp and other fish species with a unique taste are found in mountain rivers and natural lakes. This step will make a significant contribution to the development of fishing tourism as a priority and promising direction in the country,” he noted.
The heads of enterprises, fish farms and domestic travel agencies expressed their views on establishing mutual cooperation to create decent conditions and opportunities for the provision of services when receiving guests and tourists.
Just in Khatlon, there are more than 70 fish farms and fishing areas.
