On December 30, 2024, a joint consultation seminar on the topic “Development of mountaineering tourism” was held at the Republican Training and Methodological Center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Emergency Situations Committee, Major General Latifzoda H.L., the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Kholmatiyon, as well as heads and representatives of travel companies. The purpose of this event was to discuss current and planned issues related to the development of mountaineering tourism for 2025.

The working group prepared and submitted draft memorandums of bilateral cooperation for approval and signing. During the seminar, the participants were shown the Committee’s rescue equipment and machinery used in rescue operations.
