Russian traveler shared his impressions of his trip to Tajikistan, where he visited a mountain village, Lenta reports.
The locals showed incredible hospitality, he said. They were quick to invite him to their home for lunch. The hosts treated him to a fragrant dish of osh that was cooked earlier that morning. The traveler noted that the portions were huge, which shows that Tajiks customarily do not economize on guests.
“Now we will feed you and get you off to sleep. You will be glad that you came here. We promise!” the traveler quoted the words of his new acquaintances.
In his blog, he also shared his observations about Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. In his opinion, some areas of the city seem to have been transported back 100-200 years, as the locals lead a traditional and agrarian way of life.
This story shows that traveling to Tajikistan is not only about getting to know the beautiful landscapes, but also about immersing yourself in the world of hospitality and traditions.
