On October 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, visited the central stadium of Rudaki district, which has been completely repaired and renovated.
The central stadium with 8000 seats was renovated at the initiative of the Rudaki district executive body, at the expense of the district development fund and local entrepreneurs at the cost of 4.3 million somoni. The area of the facility is 1.7 hectares, and the reconstruction works started at the beginning of this year.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon, during a visit to the stadium and a conversation with officials and athletes of the district, exhorted to promote a healthy lifestyle among the population, especially young people, and educate professional athletes.
In this stadium, which was built in the 80s of the last century, after renovation, 10 work rooms were built for two sports teams, coaches and referees. Renovation of the large field and football field, installation of 4 lighting towers, installation of 8 thousand modern seats, construction of a podium, installation of a monitor for broadcasting the course of competitions on the main field, construction of a field for holding football matches and other competitions, replacement of the top of the building, fencing and construction of 3 entrance gates and paving around the facility was among the works that were completed with high quality as part of the renovation of the central stadium.
It was reported that the Sports School of Olympic Reserves and the State Institution of the Sports School of the Rudaki district also operate within the territory of the stadium. The total number of athletes in sports schools is 892.
At the district level, training of 11 types of sports, including football, volleyball, table tennis, “Freestyle”, “Sambo”, “Greco-Roman”, “Judo”, athletics, checkers and chess, wrestling, boxing, kickboxing and pankration operates, 27 coaches are engaged in education and training of teenagers and young people.
The activation of 90 sports halls is considered to be the result of the constructive policy of the top political leadership of Tajikistan. The number of football teams in the district has reached 8, and the number of football players in sports schools is 128. 14 of them are female football players.
By the way, it was said that 3 well-known football teams are active in Rudaki district, including “Kuktosh” in the first league, “Rangon” in the second league and the women’s football team called “Sitora”.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon during the visit praised the completed work, called the athletes representatives of the state and the nation, and emphasized that sporting is, first of all, a sign of individual health, and a person who engages in sports is free from any kind of bad deeds.
