Today, a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Prime Minister of Japan, Honorable Fumio Kishida, at the initiative of the other party.
At the beginning of the conversation, our Head of State expressed his sympathy and support in connection with the severe earthquake that occurred recently in friendly Japan.
Then, the Leader of the Nation emphasized Tajikistan’s understanding of the decision to reschedule the recently planned multilateral and bilateral meetings.
During the talk, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Tajikistan and Japan and confirmed their readiness to continue contacts for their further development.
At the same time, there was an exchange of views on important issues of the international and regional agenda.
