On March 15, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received in the Palace of the Nation credentials from the new extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of a number of foreign countries.
During the ceremony, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Rajesh Uki, People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammad Munirul Islam, Kingdom of the Netherlands Niko Schemers, Republic of Lithuania Navikas Egidijus, Republic of Slovakia Viktor Boretski, Vatican George George Panamtundil, Republic of Angola Augusto da Silva Cunha, Republic of Benin Andre Akambi Okunlola-Biau, Republic of Sierra Leone Mohamed Yongavo and Republic of Colombia Hector Isidro Arenas Neira presented their credentials with messages and greetings from the leadership of their countries to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon sincerely congratulated all the ambassadors on the occasion of their appointment to this post in the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was assured that the fruitful activity of the ambassadors will be an effective factor in the development and strengthening of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between the countries. The Leader of the Nation emphasized that today’s meeting is taking place in the days when the fragrance of one of the most beautiful holidays of the Orient – Navruz Olamafruz – is wafting across the ancient land of Tajikistan.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors and expressed best regards on the occasion of this international holiday. It was mentioned that as soon as Navruz gained international status, its good and creative qualities went beyond its national and cultural space, and its content gained global influence.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, expressed his views on strengthening friendly relations and multifaceted beneficial cooperation of Tajikistan with the Republic of India, the Republic of Bangladesh, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Slovakia, Vatican, the Republic of Angola, the Republic of Benin, the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Republic of Colombia.
The President of the country mentioned that during the years of independence, the state of Tajikistan constantly strives to expand the range of its partners and friends in the international arena. In this context, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan establishes and maintains active and constructive relations with the international community in various political, economic, commercial, cultural, humanitarian, and security areas.
President Emomali Rahmon commented on the unprecedented height of tension in different parts of the world and emphasized that in such sensitive conditions, solidarity, good understanding and effective inter-state cooperation become of double importance as key factors of the stability of the international community.
It was highlighted that, in this context, the state of Tajikistan considers the continuation of partnership with the countries of the newly appointed ambassadors as an integral part of its foreign policy and highly evaluates its prospects.
