Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, 2018 has been declared the Year of Development of Tourism and Folk Crafts, and 2019-2021 has been declared the development of rural areas, tourism and crafts, which is evidence of the growing interest of the Government of the country in the field of tourism.
That is why over the past five years more than 3.9 million people have arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan, including 1 million tourists in 2022. During this period, more than 600 tourist infrastructure facilities were used to service them, and in 2022 alone, 100 tourism infrastructure facilities were put into operation.
We remind you that from January 1, 2022, in order to attract more tourists and foreign investors, Tajikistan introduced a unilateral visa-free entry initiative for citizens of 52 foreign countries, which is being effectively implemented. At the same time, for this purpose, citizens of 126 foreign countries are offered visas of the Republic of Tajikistan in a simplified manner.
