The “Kokhi Navruz” complex in the city of Dushanbe, included in the list of “8 Wonders of the USC”, is one of the masterpieces of the era of independence of Tajikistan. The initiator of its creation was the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, with the aim of reviving, developing the rich history, civilization and folk art of Tajik people.

The honorary leader of the nation, Emomali Rahmon, constantly visited this palace from the beginning to the end of construction work, gave recommendations for improving the work, reviving history, culture and folk crafts, and emphasized that this magnificent building should be preserved for centuries as a treasure of culture, history, civilization, art and culture. The rituals and crafts of the Tajik people should remain a monument to the whole world.

At this high-level event, the “Novruz Palace” of the capital of Tajikistan was presented as a modern miracle and accepted as one of the 8 wonders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They became acquainted with the art of painting, carving, woodworking, plaster, mirror making and stone carving of the Tajik people through photographs and video clips.
The cultural and entertainment complex “Kokhi Navruz” is located in the center of the capital of Tajikistan – the city of Dushanbe, on Ismaili Somoni Avenue. The complex consists of 5 floors, about 40 thousand square meters – this is the work of Tajik artisans. In the basement of the building there is a parking lot that can simultaneously accommodate 250 cars. In general, it is possible to simultaneously accommodate 3 thousand 200 guests.

Navruz Palace has 15 halls, the largest of which are Zarandud, Guliston, Didor and Arjang. In addition, the following halls add a lot of luxury to the palace: bowling alley, billiards, disco club, 3D, 4D, 5D cinema, coffee break – waiting room, three other rooms for important persons (VIP) and a modern European restaurant.

This magnificent palace hosts important international and regional events with the participation of world leaders. In particular, on September 17, 2021, a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the SCO took place in the Zarandud Hall of this complex.

It must be said that the magnificent and spacious Zarandud hall is one of the largest halls in the complex. It has an area of 1000 square meters and is decorated with artistic plaster, mirror plaster and gilding. Its height, length and width are 36 meters. The candlestick in it is 10 meters high and 22 meters high, weighs more than 6,700 kilograms and has 1,600 energy-efficient lamps and special equipment that can be lowered and raised for cleaning, lamp replacement and other technical work.

This hall is 16 by 16 and 16. That is, in the hall there are 16 columns 16 meters high, on top of which there are 16 semi-domes. It also has 16 other chimneys, fans, arches, domes, arches and windows, each with its own symbol. This is the symbol of the 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, which began on November 16, 1992 and lasted 16 days.

Today, the Novruz Palace is one of the main tourist attractions and an important treasure of the city of Dushanbe. All high-ranking guests, domestic and foreign tourists visiting the city of Dushanbe are required to visit this place and get acquainted with the unique art of the Tajik people.
