On August 21, 2025, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, held a roadside conversation with a group of mountaineers from Italy along the Vanj–Yak route in Vanj District.

During the conversation, opinions were exchanged regarding the vast opportunities for the development of mountain and ecological tourism in the country.

The Chairman of the Committee noted that Tajikistan, with its unique nature, large glaciers, and picturesque mountain landscapes, possesses great potential for the development of various types of tourism, including mountaineering.

The group of Italian tourists, expressing gratitude for the hospitality of the Tajik people and the conditions created by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, emphasized that Tajikistan and its mountain routes are very attractive and unforgettable for athletes and nature enthusiasts.
