On September 4, in the City Hall of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the founder of peace and national unity – the leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Japarov, who visited Tajikistan to participate in the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia.

Honorable President of the country Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that the results of the summit of the Heads of the Central Asian States will effectively contribute to the development of positive processes in our region.

During the meeting, the parties paid attention to the issue of development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which are linked by centuries-old bonds of friendship and good neighborliness, and supported the continuation of regular political dialogue, especially at the highest level.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed specific regional and international topics of interest.
